Training

As each staff member commences employment with G&G Cleaning Contractors Ltd they are assessed by their Contracts Manager as to what level of training is required.
The Contracts Manager ensures that staff are trained in all aspects of the works for which the staff member is to undertake and staff are trained and advised of work practices for the use of COSHH.
Staff are also advised of our environmental obligations when using chemicals and the impact that improper use could have on the environment.
After a staff member has been trained to the standards required they are required to sign their training records. At various times throughout the year staff are observed and re-assessed and trained in any new techniques that may be required.
This year G&G is now working in partnership with Seleta TPS Ltd to provide extra training for all our cleaning operatives. This allows our staff to achieve an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Cleaning and Support, this particular qualification addresses many issues such as Health & Safety(how to identify and reduce hazards and accidents in the workplace) as well as the manual cleaning operations.
Candidates are observed by an independent assessor at their place of work (visits every 4-6 weeks) and evidence is collated by way of observation(photographs).
The qualification can be gained within approx 6-7 month and without disruption to their everyday duties.
Selected staff have been also been trained in specific specialist areas such as carpet cleaning, I.T. cleaning, window cleaning and PAT testing and gained qualifications.
